On February 25, Wesley United Methodist Women hosted a  study on "Reconciliation and Forgiveness:  The Journey" with UMW from  several other churches in attendance.  The study was lead by Vickie Scwartz, district mission team member. During the study small and large group discussions took attendees through topics of forgiving, trusting, love, fellowship, honesty, and reconciliation.  The study was concluded with a friendship web, each of the attendees passed yarn across the circle with a saying of Peace and Love to one another other.  As the yarn was passed back and forth, … [Read more...]

Twice annually, in the Spring and Fall, the Kairos team goes into the Bartlett Unit high security unit to bring the message of Jesus’ love to our incarcerated brothers.  The next Kairos weekend will commence March 17th. Homemade cookies are the most effective and eagerly awaited single item in the Kairos arsenal.  They are a tangible expression of Christian love and an indication of God’s concern to a group of people who seldom encounter either in the course of their daily lives.
