The women of Wesley United Methodist Church will host their 65th Annual Women’s Day Observance with two events this year. Both will be held at the church facility, located at 1164 San Bernard St, Austin, TX. The first activity will take place on Saturday, May 27th, in the church Fellowship Hall and the second will be a special worship service on Sunday, May 28th.
The May 27th event will be a “Jazz Luncheon”, taking place from 11:00am – 1:00pm. In addition to savoring a scrumptious meal, entertainment will be provided by jazz artist, Pamela Hart of the famed, “Pamela Hart Trio”. Tickets for the luncheon are $25 and are available at the church Office Bldg., M-F, from 9:00am-4:00pm.
And, the May 28th activity will feature a special worship service in the church sanctuary, beginning at 10:00am. The theme for this year’s program is: “Women with a Voice, In Times Like These”, derived from these scripture passages: Esther 4:14-17 and James 1:19-20. The featured, guest speaker will be Mrs. Cynthia M.A. Butler-McIntyre, who hails from Olive Branch Baptist Church, New Orleans, LA. Music will be provided by the Wesley Women’s Chorus.
