LET’S GO TO WORK
John 9:1-5 (NKJV)
1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
See issue. See need. Let’s go to work.
If we are going to go to work we need to understand:
1 – It is “must” work. It is imperative, it is a necessity. We have to be about our Father’s business. God is always at work, he wants us to join him in what he is already doing.
2 – It is His work. “I must work the works of Him who sent me” (John 9:4). Often we come up with our own designs and then we get frustrated with others because our thing isn’t working. We get caught up in “Thinkdom” instead of Kingdom building. “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37-38).
3 – It is day work. There is a limit on how long we have to work. You have to do your work while it is day. We don’t have time to sit back and complain or debate why something is a certain way. There is too much to do.
Our Father chooses to use those that are already working. Moses, Elijah, Nehemiah, James & John. Let’s go to work.
