TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
1 Peter 4:7-10 (NRSV)
The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers. Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. 10 Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.

Successful people don’t blame others, they take responsibility for their own actions and attitudes. Responsibility is always a choice, and only you can make it. If being responsible hasn’t been one of your strengths, then you need to start in 2017.

If you are going to be more successful in 2017
1. Realize that gaining success means practicing self-discipline.
2. Finish what you start.
3. Learn to take care of the small stuff.
4. Step forward, don’t expect others to do it for you.

Sometimes we don’t take responsibility because we believe someone else is more qualified. No! Those who make a difference in life, don’t do so because they are the best qualified, but simply because they decided to try.

God doesn’t call the qualified, God qualifies the called.
