Scripture: Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV)

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Summary:

      • Paul is angry and frustrated in the text because the Gospel has been attacked and lied on.  Paul called the Galatian Christians foolish for believing in this nonsense.
      • Ralph Waldo Emerson said that the greatest majority of people are bundles of beginners (starters but not finishers).  We need people in the church that are starters & finishers.
      • Quitting is more about who you are, where you are & what you are up against. External things don’t stop us; it’s more about what is inside of us.
      • Most failures are due to not having a bulldog like tenacity.  Every obstacle should yield to a stern dissolve. The only guarantee for failure is to stop trying.
      • There is no insurmountable barrier that can stop us except for the lack of persistence.
      • In each of us there is a Lesser Self & a Greater Self.  Let the Greater Self prevail.
        • Lesser Self: There are not enough people to achieve what we want to achieve.
Greater Self: My faith in God & in myself is enough.
        • Lesser Self: It takes too long to realize my dream.
Greater Self: My dream is realized one day at a time.
        • Lesser Self: I have taken too many hits.
Greater Self: I have come too far to give up now.

The assignment God gives will never be greater than the Grace he provides.  Pursue your goal & you will prevail.  Do not ever grow weary of doing what is right.
