Communications & Media Manager


To produce quality sound and video content that supplements and enhances the worship experience; broaden social media communications among the church membership and outreach to the
community; generate income from the sale of audio and visual products and grow the effective use of technology in the church through training and mentoring of a media team including opportunities to youth.

JOB TITLE: Communications & Media Manager

REPORTS TO: Senior Pastor


  • Lead the Media Ministry
  • Prepare Screens and/or for Sunday Service & Special Events
  • Direct Sound & Video Equipment & Technicians for Sunday services and other events at the church
  • Supervise production of quality sound and video product for sale and archive purposes
  • Website updates & outreach on social media and email blasts to congregation
  • Marketing to broader community
  • Coordination of Communications among ministries
  • Maintain and repair or supervise repair of equipment, as needed
  • Produce and manage annual budget and report on sales of audio and/or video tapes
  • Coordinate with Director of the Music Ministry
  • Train and mentor youth members in operating equipment and tasks of the ministry
  • Manage Volunteers for website, Facebook and other social media, as required


  • Heart for worshiping God
  • Experience in Social Media/Broadcast/Sound Engineering/Video Production
  • Good Written, Verbal & Technical Communication Skills
  • Experience mixing audio in a live environment


  • Knowledge of church equipment or comparable system (available on request)
  • Ability to competently operate audio & visual and digital photography equipment
  • Production and editing of audio and visual products, as demonstrated by provision of examples
  • Working Knowledge of Social Media
  • Ability to work effectively with volunteers


  • Management of teams
  • Experience working in high-stress environment

EDUCATION: High School Diploma

Approximately 10 Hours per Week
Required – Sunday 9 AM – 1 PM (4 hours)
Weekly Preparation & Rehearsal Time
Special Events and/or meetings & Volunteer Training
